On December 9th, TaiyangNews hosted the High Efficiency Solar Technologies 2024 Conference, a high-end online energy conference together with experts, academics, manufacturers and business executives in the renewable energy industry. Josua Stückelberger, Director of Technology, International Business Unit at Laplace Group, attended the online conference co-organized with TaiyangNews, where he delivered a keynote speech titled: “Manufacturing Solutions for Today and Tomorrow: Cutting-edge Production equipment for TOPCON and Beyond.” His speech provided valuable insights for the development of new energy companies. In the subsequent panel discussion he shared his insights on the current market situation and upcoming trends and technologies.
During the conference, Josua highlighted Laplace’s advanced contributions to the TOPCON technology, emphasizing the company’s wide range of equipment covering most of the cell production line, barring wet tools and metallization. He explained how innovations, such as double-loading technology significantly enhance throughput and reduced production costs. Furthermore, Laplace’s proprietary coated quartz tubes extend lifetimes and help minimize operational costs. Relying on Laplace’s support in equipment and technology, TOPCON cells have achieved the highest R&D efficiency of 26.89%. In the future, Laplace will continue to focus on photovoltaic cell research and development, and we are confident that we will bring cell efficiency to new heights.
Josua said Laplace has almost 100% market share on critical equipment for back contacted cells. As Laplace diversifies into BC technology, the company is ready to help its clients integrate this and other next-generation technologies.
Laplace remains committed to fostering global collaboration and development. The company partners with organizations worldwide, working together to drive innovation and seize opportunities in the renewable energy transition. Moving forward, Laplace will continue to meet challenges head-on and contribute to advancing sustainable global energy development.
